Pumpkin Week!
October 23, 2016
It was pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin all week long. We kicked off the fun by turning the back yard into our own little pumpkin patch. We told the children that there was a special pumpkin hidden somewhere in the yard for each of them. They didn't take long to find them!

We played with them for a while outdoors: we discovered that they could roll off of the steps with a little help, we discovered they were nice and smooth in out hands, we learned that they fit nicely into baskets, and we lined some up into neat rows to count.

The next step was to paint them, but after playing with them so much they were a bit muddy. Once inside, we stopped at the bathroom sink where Teacher Michelle helped each child gently wash and dry their pumpkin.
We sat together at our Art table and went to work. They turned out beautiful!
